The Violin Channel reports that the FBI’s Los Angeles Art Crime team seeks public help locating a 1710 Amati violin stolen from a private home in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, on December 8, 2020. The instrument, formerly owned by art dealer Rowland Weinstein, was taken from a white Tesla; Weinstein had inadvertently left the car unlocked after dropping the key under the seat. Weinstein purchased the violin for $507,436 at a London Tarisio auction in 2013.

VC Artist Inmo Yang Loaned 1743 Carrodus Guarneri del Gesù Violin
