Maegis Arts is a privately held Canadian private-sales advisory and intermediary firm based in Montreal. The firm represents buyers or sellers and facilitates discreet international private-treaty transactions involving exceptional fine art and historically important rare string instruments, particularly instruments by Antonio Stradivari.
Maegis Arts is not an auction house, a public marketplace, a conventional inventory-holding gallery, an investment fund, or an independent authentication authority. Where required, it coordinates appropriate independent specialists for attribution, provenance, condition, valuation, legal review, insurance, escrow, transport, and closing.

Maegis Arts identifies and qualifies opportunities and counterparties, manages confidential circulation, supports negotiations, and coordinates the commercial, technical, legal, financial, and logistical requirements of a transaction. It works with private collectors, families, family offices, estates, institutions, professional advisors, direct mandate holders, and selected intermediaries.
Our practice spans fine art (from the Old Masters to modern and contemporary works) and rare string instruments.
How we work
