Prizes announced at the 2024 Stuttgart International Violin Competition

Anna Im won first prize (€30,000) at the 2nd Stuttgart International Violin Competition. Second prize (€15,000) went to Ruslan Talas, third prize (€10,000) to Matthew Hakkarainen, and fourth prize (€5,000) to Xiaozhuo Wang. A €3,000 special prize for best interpretation of the commissioned piece by David Philip Hefti was awarded to Jakow Pavlenko; Anna Im and Ruslan Talas also receive online muvac consultations.

Concert Artists Guild names 2024 semi-finalists for competition

The Violin Channel reports that 24 soloists and 11 ensembles were selected to advance to the virtual semi-final round of the Concert Artists Guild Competition 2024. Winners receive management in North America and a New York debut, with Grand Winners obtaining international management with CAG and YCAT and a Wigmore Hall performance.
