Stolen alert: replica Carlo Bergonzi violin stolen in San Francisco

The Violin Channel reports a replica of the 1740 Carlo Bergonzi violin known as the Kreisler instrument was stolen in San Francisco, valued at about US $35,000. The theft occurred from an unattended car in Harding Park and included three bows and a case; one bow is stamped Ernst Kresuler. Dupont Grumiaux Strad owner denies instrument left on German train
