A 205-year-old violin made by Salinan Indian Jose Carabajal is missing from Mission San Antonio de Padua’s museum, located at Ft. Hunter Liggett in Monterey County. The instrument had been on display since the late 1970s and was restored by John Warren of the New World Baroque Orchestra, who has used it in several concerts, most recently on May 18.
