Hilton Beach luthier earns top honors at international competition

Raymond Schryer, a Hilton Beach maker of violins, violas and cellos, won a gold medal at the Violin Society of America’s 2002 International Competition in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. He also earned two silver medals for his quartet and viola entries; his instruments include violins priced at $10,000, violas at $12,000, and cellos at $20,000, all in U.S. dollars.
