Frank Huang wins the 2000 Hannover International Violin Competition

Frank Huang from the USA won the first prize at the 2000 Hannover International Violin Competition. Andrei Bielow won second prize with 30,000 German Marks; Arabella Steinbacher took third with 20,000 Marks. Fourth to sixth prizes went to Joseph Lin, Baiba Skride, and Elina Vähälä. Huang performed Sibelius Violin Concerto in d-minor, op. 47 to win the prize of 50,000 Marks and other incentives.
